Paint It! Ellicott City 2012
IN LIGHT OF THE RECORD-BREAKING HEAT PREDICTED FOR THIS WEEKEND, WE HAVE A FEW SUGGESTIONS REGARDING PAINT IT:
FOR SPECTATORS: Your best opportunity to view the artists at work will probably be either early in the morning (7am–11am) or in the evening, after the worst heat of the day has passed.

FOR OPEN PAINT-OUT ARTISTS: You may also want to consider an early morning or late afternoon/evening painting schedule. If you want to paint early in the day and have not yet registered, don’t worry. You can register between 10 and 3 on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday at the Howard County Welcome Center, either before or after you paint.

FOR EVERYONE: Don’t forget to lather on the sunscreen, bring a hat and plenty of water, and make it a great Paint It! weekend!

July 6–9
Join the Arts Council for this fun and popular outdoor event in Historic Ellicott City. Community members are invited to participate in a 3-day paint-out alongside 28 juried artists. For a small registration fee, artists can also participate in the community exhibition and display their work during the opening reception and later at the Howard County Welcome Center.
