This group is intended for Filipino-American living in the DC metro area to meet, greet, share life stories and their experiences, and ultimately, have FUN!!. This is a chance for us to start new friendships, enjoy some happy hours, karaoke, watch Pacquiao fight, enjoy activities such as lunches/dinners, get away, sporting events, movies, shows, food festivals, potlucks, etc., etc…… all Filipinos, young and old are encouraged to join this group.
Conscious of the need of developing enthusiasm, interest and dedication in the field of Filipino Martial Arts Education, and in order to act as guardians of the noble and beneficial aims of Arnis de Mano and compelled by our desire to establish an Association which shall be the rallying point of all teachers of Arnis de Mano as a Filipino Martial Arts Education, the Mataw-Guro’s hereby mutually agree to unite and associate ourselves for such a purpose.

The DC Dragon Boat Club is a local non-profit organization that promotes individual and community participation in the sport of Dragon Boating to encourage awareness and stewardship of the area’s waterways through recreational and competitive programs that foster physical fitness, camaraderie, and leadership skills.
We are a diverse group of paddlers who enjoy the sport of dragon boat racing and the camaraderie. We welcome all individuals who want to learn more about paddling and dragon boat racing. We have boats representing all levels of paddling, from beginners to premier level.
