  • Pristine waters of the Lehigh River beat the heat

Weekends lounging on the coach might be nice, but they don’t hold a candle to a weekend of exploring the wilderness. Spend a day riding the rapids with Whitewater Challengers, and then go cycling on one of the most breathtaking bike trails on the East Coast. With these friendly guides, you don’t need any experience to conquer the Lehigh’s waters.

This expert outfit also takes care of the details so you can focus on enjoying the adventure. From overnight camping to complimentary breakfast buffets, all you have to worry about is getting that perfect tan—and crafting the story you’ll tell your jealous friends when you get back.

Saving the Oceans for Our Children…

Saving the Oceans for Our Children…

Meet the Blobfish. Psychrolutes marcidus, they grow to a size of 12 inches and live at a depths of 800m. They are found around Australia/Tasmania and are very rarely seen. Very little is known about this species, the fish is a gelatinous mass with a density slightly less than water allowing the fish to float above the sea floor without expanding energy. It’s relative lack of muscle is not a problem as it only swallows edible matter that floats in front of it. The living fish is rarely seen by humans, only dead ones are found in the the catch of deep sea trawler fishermen which is leading to their extinction. The fish is inedible. Martinique is truly “a little bit of France in the Caribbean Islands.” Martinique exudes a distinctly French feeling in the excellence of its Caribbean cuisine, the beauty of its language, the grace of its streets and gardens. Yet Martinique has a cachet all its own, an endearing West Indian warmth in its personality, a special spice in its Caribbean music and dance, its local dishes, and its way of life. Martinique is an island with style.

The Caribbean island with French flair, The Isle of Flowers, The Rum Capital of the World, The Isle of the Famed Poet (Aimé Césaire). By any one of its many names Martinique remains one of the most alluring and enchanting destinations in the world.

Named “Best Gourmet Island of the Year” in 2008 and 2009 by Caribbean World Magazine, Martinique is an overseas region of France that stirs the passions with distinctive culinary delights, awe-inspiring natural beauty, a rich cultural history, warm smiles and so much more.

Napoleon’s bride, Empress Josephine, was born and raised here. Majestic Mt. Pelée and The Pompeii of the Caribbean, Saint-Pierre, is found here. The finest French products, from Chanel fashions to Limoges porcelain, are readily available here. La Route des Rhums, a tour of the world’s finest rum distilleries based on France’s famed Route des Vins, is offered here. A special place, to be sure, with so much to offer…

Martinique c’est magnifique!

TOWNS & VILLAGES

Nestled between the sea and sun, Martinique is a treasure-trove that is unique among the Caribbean islands: an exceptional natural setting with running water, mountains, gardens and forests. Thanks to the island’s surface area of only 425 square miles, everything is easily accessible. Discover the diversity of Martinique’s landscapes, its cultural heritage, its French touch, and the quality of its modern infrastructure. It is a very safe island, where ethical tourism is the norm. Martinique is a genuine Caribbean jewel, come and discover everything it has to offer…

Saint-Joseph

Saint-JosephThis small village is situated inland. The soil is fertile and the climate favorable for farming. You can go stroll through the forest on trails and bridges especially prepared for visitors.

Gros Morne

Gros MorneThis is essentially an agricultural town that dominates the region and offers a view onto the pineapple fields, which seem to stretch down all the way to the sea.

Fort De France

Fort De France

This is the business center and administrative capital of the island with many tourist attractions. Most of these attractions are grouped together around the city’s haven of greenery named La Savane (Savanna).

Le Lamentin

Le Lamentin

The airport, hippodrome horse racing course and industrial zones based in this town are three of the regional Department’s main centers of activity. The fields of sugar cane stretch out across the Lamentin plain all the way to the horizon.

Rivière-Salée

Rivière-SaléeThe Rivière-Salée is a large plain that has been given over to growing sugar cane, although there is no rum distillery within the territory belonging to this district. On some houses, you can still see structures that date to the 19th century.

Les Trois-Ilets

Les Trois-IletsYou can get here by car of course, but also on a ferry from Fort-de-France. The Pagerie Museum is in this town, set up on the spot where Empress Josephine was born. A number of musical and cultural events are organized in the Park of the Trois-Ilets close to the island’s magnificent golf club. You must not miss the Market or the Sugar Cane Museum. The pottery center, where the objects are handmade by local craft artists, is also worth a visit.
